Holy Mother of Arceus

Yeah..  I kinda forgot about the whole "blog" business... but I do still exist...
Except I have no idea what to post here. Google+ takes all of my crap now...
SO FOLLOW ME ON GOOGLE+
But... honestly... I'll try to devise a reason to use this.

I'm Melting!

So I have theory about tolerances to weather. MOST OF THE TIME, the time of your birth corresponds with your favorite season. I was born in winter, which is why I've been counting down until December 21st. I just don't regulate heat well, so increasing temperatures make me feel unmotivated and uncomfortable. Climate change, you're responsible for this. I hope the folks in Iceland are friendly!
But back to the theory. The comments have been kinda empty lately, so fill 'er up with your data! Does my above theory apply to you?
Thanks to all of my readers, no matter how small. In amount, not stature.

Score one for the felines!

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

I promised no Inazuma Eleven posts, but I can still get away with the World Cup, right? Three names for ya: Landon Donovan (the top scorer on the United States team), Cristiano Ronaldo (do I even need to explain? Come on...), and Xavi (Spanish player and one of best passers in the World). There you have it. We cool now? Only 20 days to go, so vote on the poll as soon as you can!

HOLY MOTHER OF ARCEUS

You betcha, folks. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have been confirmed from the Pokémon company, and the entire world is in chaos.

There really isn't a whole lot to say here. Mega Evolutions for Latios and Latias are credible now. FireRed and LeafGreen remakes are possible now. And every main region will be available on the 3DS somehow; remember HG/SS has both Johto and Kanto.
Oh, who am I kidding. SPECULATION TIME!! But not now.
 Here we come, November 2014!

Justice for All But Me

Made my mind up; I'm gonna buy Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The WiiWare version looks to be quite the dream! C'mon, swinging the WiiMote like a... a finger pointed at the prosecutors? Sure. While browsing the 'net to find a picture, I stumbled a cross this...
I can't even think of a witty comment for this one.
In addition, I plan to seek out copies of Mega Man: Star Force... DON'T HATE ME!

HOLD YOUR HORSES.

WOAH. Before I jump out of here, I have one last classic cartoon reference for you. Any more, and my nostalgia will jump into overdrive... (or hyperspace... UGH RIGHT IN THE NOSTALGIA PARTS!!)
Hanna-Barbera had a partnership with Kellogg's? That's (Froot) Loopy!

Meanwhile, in the Hall of Justice...

Yes, that's a Super Friends reference in the title. Ah, the memories...

Back on track...
I recently was on cnn.com and found out that the Spanish island of Mallorca will be enforcing a "bikini ban" due to visitor complaints. Sounds like somebody's jealous... Apparently, any skimpy swimwear seen on public property will result in fines of around 800 USD. Yeah. Speaking of jealousy, I now have an excuse to post this...
F YEAH JEALOUSY!
Meaning read Ultimo. It's by Hiroyuki Takei (of Shaman King fame) and Stan Lee (must I say more?).
So... I'm outta here. Off to watch Reborn or maybe the forbidden anime I'm not supposed to mention...

We Apologize for Any Inconvenience...

Alright, here's a game I haven't raised enough hell about yet: Inazuma Eleven Strikers. Now, I know what you're thinking: "SON OF A BARBOACH, FROSTFLARE! WE'RE SICK OF YOUR OBSESSION." And to this, I say, "Well, my foreign viewers actually like soccer, so tough luck."
Just take it.
Looks like something I would buy, but... Level5 needs to localize it first...
When this game (or any other Inazuma Eleven) hits the U.S.
Fine. No more Inazuma Eleven posts until June. When the World Cup takes off and I won't be able to concentrate on anything but soccer. Yup.

You Deserve It

Alrighty people, my other post was just an excuse to announce a little change and throw some Inazuma Eleven at you. Well...
THIS POST IS GONNA BE WORTHWHILE.

He's actually posting for real!!

HAHAHAHA GOTCHA >:3

GOTCHA TWICE!!

But seriously. I understand you're sick of the Inazuma Eleven stuff, so I'll stop for now. Anyways, I have some news to share with you...
Tomodachi Collection is a popular Mii-bases sim game that came out in Japan a little while ago, and it is only another installment in a series. However, we can expect it to hit us in early June... So look forward to it.
AND IN OTHER NEWS...
Flipnote Studio 3D seems permanently doomed... Japan also lost their ability to use SpotPass on Swapnote, alongside the Gallery: Friends feature on FS3D being disabled as well. So we can expect it never to hit us. Sorry.

WELCOME TO THE NEW EMPIRE!!

After so many years of going as Hareta, I have finally decided to change my username to something more original. However, the Shy Guy is staying as my icon until I come up with something else.
Anyways... Captain America: The Winter Soldier came out this weekend (I think), so that gives me an excuse to post this:

Submit to Red Skull!
Well, that's really all I have for today... OH WHO AM I KIDDING. I CAN'T HELP MYSELF:

That's all I got today. Everybody make sure to play Inazuma Eleven as soon as possible!

Hablo Español un Poco...

Inazuma Eleven has a much larger industry in Spanish-speaking countries... I wanna go to Spain so badly. They even have a Sunny D (called Sunny Delight there) promotion that gives away Inazuma Eleven merchandise. Also, their lifestyles are more relaxed and laid back. WHO WOULN'T WANT TO GO?
WHY CAN'T I GO WHY CAN'T I GO WHY CAN'T I GO?

It's Goin' Down!

Check out that sidebar to your right (for those of you on a computer; I can't help you with the mobile version). THE 16-BIT CONSOLE WARS ARE BACK!!
Which gives me an excuse to show you this...

Both games are on Wii Virtual Console. BUY 'EM NOW.
Speaking of which, I wanna see old Aero get a retro revival like this:

Everybody's Super

In case you haven't found out already...
The Incredibles 2 has been officially announced.

LIFE JUST GOT REAL
Honestly, that's pretty much all I've got...
I don't know how we made it this long without it, so Dash put it best... "We're dead! We're dead! We survived but we're dead!"

Holmes and Moriarty Reborn (in addition to Drunk on After-School Tea Time)

DEAR MOTHER OF MOTHER FATHER GENTLEMAN!

Oh... Excuse me... Professor Layton Versus Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is set for a release quite soon in Europe, so the U.S. release can't be far behind. So this post is to not only pay homage and celebrate, but to also put out a K-ON picture. EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING IT LATELY.
So we have Mio, the cutest member, imitating our spiky-haired lawyer himself.
OBJECTION!! How can this game come out in Europe before the U.S.?!
But for realz this time. Peace out.

The Hareta Virus Has Gone Global

For once, I'm gonna get really full of myself and show off my viewers from around the world. For some unidentifiable reason, I have had regular views from China, Germany, and India, showing that those pageviews are not resulting from somebody stumbling upon my blog by mistake.
Now, you're probably wondering how I managed to make my way into a photo of a landmark halfway across the planet...
HAIL YEAH http://www.photoshoponlinefree.net/
Well, that's all for now. I might post later today, but for the moment...

Well, something called a waste of my time school is calling MY name, so...
PEACE OUT SUCKAS

Not-So-Super Mario Bros. -- The Flops in Nintendo's History, Continued

If you missed the first half of this look into the failures Nintendo doesn't want to remember (seriously, all of these cannot be found on Nintendo's official website), see my earlier posts.
The next dishonorable mention to make is the Virtual Boy, which was released in 1995. The device attempted to create a 3D gaming effect 16 years too early. One would put their eyes to the hole and gaze into this red box, where the game would be seen in full 3D.

The Nintendo 64DD comes next on this list. The "DD" stood for Disk Drive, and was intended to let the N64 use disks in lieu of cartridges. Japan got it on December 1st, 1999, and it was a commercial flop. It never even reached the U.S., and for good reason.
I would rag on the entire GameCube console because it was Nintendo's least profitable console (beyond that disgraceful red box above), but the GCN brought us some of the best long-run franchises like Pikmin and Luigi's Mansion. Yes, the GameCube was a quirky low point in Nintendo's history, but it just doesn't deserve the hate. By the way, if you hold the Y button while turning on the console, you can hear a baby laugh!
To end this list is the uDraw GameTablet, which looked like a primitive Wii U. It was actually developed by THQ for the Wii, and was released in 2010. Basically, you used it just like a touch screen, but there wasn't an actual screen. THQ went into bankruptcy because of the $56 million loss, and sold off its assets in 2013.
Feel free to share my blog all over the place! Let the world know of Hareta!!
I want to give thanks to my German viewers. I don't know how you found me, but... Dankeschön!

Peace out until next time.

Forgive Me (Again...)

I know I said that the Nintendo history shtuff would continue, but that was just filler for when I have nothing to say. But right now, I actually have a story to tell from my own life... And I'll exclude all the details so my identity remains a mystery.
As you might have guessed, I'm using the computer right now. I was working on a certain assignment for school in the office, and I had a YouTube tab open to listen to THIS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiQCiDDDIOM
Anyways, I was pounding along until my brother came in and demanded that I get off the computer so he could play some games online. Naturally, I refused, which resulted in a one-sided fight; I kept my cool while he blew his top (I swear, testosterone's a problem sometimes). So he eventually leaves the office and storms into his room to rage and cry, but he created such a racket that I went in there (brandishing a small hammer for self-defense, of course) to shut him up. Screaming at the top of his lungs, I received the message that I was unwanted.
Wow. Just wow. Aren't siblings just great?

Now You're Playing With... Power?

Nintendo has always been a powerhouse in the world of video games (it actually has the highest revenue, beating Microsoft and Sony). However, some things just went PLAIN WRONG. The company popped up back in 1889, and it made hanafuda cards.

Nintendo tried other things (such as toys and love hotels) but eventually came upon electronic entertainment. Their Magnavox Odyssey was sold in 1975 (Japan only, of course), which predated Atari's Pong. The rest would seem to be history, right? WRONG ANSWER AGAIN, SIR. The Nintendo Power Glove was sold as an accessory for the NES in 1989, which tried to implement motion control 17 years too soon.

The SNES and Phillips CD-i snafu is pretty elusive in terms of information, but the gist of things is that Nintendo partnered with Sony, then dropped this and teamed with Phillips instead to produce a CD-ROM add-on for the SNES. Such never happened though, and a Sony-Phillips team made the CD-i instead. Nintendo franchises began to pop up on the console (Hotel Mario and whatnot), which weren't actually licensed by the big N. However, by their contract, Phillips was allowed to do so...

Alright, that's all I have for today. Next time, I'll be finishing this chronology of Nintendo's failures, so stay tuned!!

Once In A Red Moon

WHAT NOW I'M DOING TWO POSTS ON ONE DAY!!
I was inspired to do this after posting my GIF just minutes before this one. There's been controversy for years about how to pronounce the term, and here's definite evidence:
CompuServe used to distribute a graphics display program called CompuShow. In the documentation for version 8.33 in the FAQ section, it states:
The GIF (Graphics Interchange Format), pronounced "JIF", was designed by CompuServe and the official specification released in June of 1987.
So there you have it.
Peace out; I'm still not a brony, and you can't convert me.

I Swear I'm Not A Brony

That moment when one of your friends goes off about some passion of theirs that you care nothing about...

And NO, I'm not a brony.

Fantastic 4th Generation

I was recently contemplating which Pokémon event could occur next, and then I got to thinking about the kinds of events we've seen lately. Mostly, Game Freak just hands out some creature that has some special quality about it... or it's just another event-only legendary one. Whatever happened to the days Generation 4 (D/P/Pl and HG/SS), when events actually consisted of traveling to an exclusive location, experiencing some hidden story segments, and capturing a Pokémon? The last one we saw was the Liberty Pass, which let us catch Victini about 3 years ago. C'mon, Game Freak, step it up!!
Of course, I grew up around the Gen 4 games, so I am a little biased... The modern events still lack quality. How about a Mega Arceus event where we visit some strange realm accessed by venturing into Santalune Forest, where the god of all Pokémon creation resides?

No Tricks Here

It's high time this game for Nintendo DS and iOS gets some recognition. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective was created by the same mastermind behind the Ace Attorney games, Shu Takumi. The player's character, Sissel, is dead before you get to start playing! This epic tale chronicles his quest to uncover the secrets behind his murder while preventing the deaths of others. He can go back in time to before a person's death and alter events (Rube Goldberg style, meaning causing a chain reaction) to save their life. The first few levels are available free on the App Store, or you could by the full game for DS.

SpeculationZ

Alright, with Pokémon Z on the horizon, I decided to check out the video below to see what Game Freak could do with it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INF-VzzDu0Q
In the video, JPRPokeTrainer98 talks about the villainous team and who its leader would be after what happened to Lysandre and Team Flare (I really don't know whether they ran off to wherever all the other villains go or died). And then it hit me. For quite a while, I have known that Team Galactic's plot was quite similar; destroy the planet and rebuild a better civilization. Except that Team Flare was going to kill all people and Pokémon off, while Cyrus would have rebuilt our planet almost identically. But what if Cyrus returns to take command of Kalos' power and re-attempt his plan? It's genius, I know.

Please Don't Hate Me

Yuppers. I had been assigned a project for Language Arts a little while ago, and this is the poem I chose.

Blizzard

Snow falls:
years of anger following
hours that float idly down --
the blizzard
drifts its weight
deeper and deeper for three days
or sixty years, eh? Then
the sun! a clutter of
yellow and blue flakes --
Hairy looking trees stand out
in long alleys
over a wild solitude.
The man turns and there --
his solitary track stretched out
upon the world.

Return of the King

DominicFear has recently returned to YouTube! So you know what this means... A Lazer Collection 6!! Sorry about that, I got a little... excited. We don't know if this means anything, but if he still has any motivation, it is totally possible.
Again, if you're new to this stupidity, then check out hareta.hatenablog.com where all of my older posts are.

The New Harlem Shake

Every year, some new fad seems to take off during January and disappear by March. And this year, I think we can now confirm that this fad is Flappy Bird. As you are probably aware, it was recently removed from the App Store and Google Play because its creator, Dong Nguyen, was not pleased with how addictive the game was. Either way, you can play an almost perfect copy at http://www.flappybird.com/play/ or you can play a Sesame Street-themed clone at http://www.sesamestreet.org/cms-static/flappy_bert/ Or, if you're in the mood for multiplayer Flappy Bird, try http://flapmmo.com/ Either clone is a game somewhat worth your while if you liked Flappy Bird. Now, back to searching Youtube for new Harlem Shake videos... because they were so entertaining.

Back in Black

Hello there, internet! I originally used Hatena Blog to post my thoughts, but a small Japanese company apparently isn't enough. I've had it, so I have "upgraded" to this site instead. I have chosen to hide my real name due to the stalkers that lurk the Web, but that shouldn't make a difference. I could upgrade later, though. If you want to see my former blog, here's the link: hareta.hatenablog.com
Well now. Let's get this started.
